Ken - good job!
The BC230's here had no cap. leakage. Just microamps @ 500V - set
runs @ 400V.
One was a 1936 BC-AL by WeCO (somehow new) & the other a 1940 BC-AO by
Graybar (very used w. engaging busted meter)
Book says not to expect more'n 90% modulation @ 30ma on final - i.e.
12W-in which says dual paralleled VT52s (6A3s) only good for maybe 5W audio.
But it's Singe-Ended Triode audio
The audio sector's gonna go maddddd!
'230 shud do well on 3885 with a Henry 2KD active tuner for some help.
50 ohm match was just 50mmfd (pf) in series w. coax. Math transform
predicted that!
These dang Indiana Jones rigs make me wanna go out and open up on a
Ford Trimotor.
Marty
...Note K2TOP worked the WeCO in CX. See Robt. Flory post from earlier.
