I don't think so or there would probably be some cautionary notes to that effect in the manuals.I think that some Navy aircraft had the DU,RU and GP transmitter.I think the GP was in the 100watt catagory? The PBY had the DW which used the same coupler and an extension shaft to the loop and the GO transmitter.Nothing in those manuals discussing overload of the df set by the liason tx.
But then I was never there...

Okay, i gotta try this again.
Suppose on a large plane, someone is using the DU-1 direction loop and its
own dedicated receiver.
Now if the Liaison transmitter is fired up, will it override or block the DU,
if the DU is on a lower frequency, like BC band?
