[Milsurplus] Wrinkle painting...

I am in the process of repainting some items for my personal collection here.
I am using a black wrinkle paint I got from our local auto parts store, and it
appears to be pretty good.

The question I have for the collective wisdom is, if I decide to bake it in an
oven, what temperature should I use? For this first piece, I am using a
temperature of 170 degrees F in our family oven, which is the lowest
temperature I can set the oven to. It appears to be working OK, but is it
possible to raise the temperature in order to speed final drying and to obtain
better wrinkling? What temperature is too high? (And don't tell me "just
before the paint bursts into flame..." since I already figured that out...
