That's not the ASB i owned. The 15E tubes had to be extracted with the cover
off. At one time, i had most of the set including some control boxes and antennas,
new boxed.
I thought about building it but the pleasure of being able to switch on a 400 MHz
radar for a few seconds every once in a while was too rare. I think i traded most of
it off to August Link in CA, who now seems to be disposing of his non new-boxed
stuff. ( He had a real thing about new-boxed.) I still have one ASB receiver and some
jamming equipment, which has to go.
The 15E tube seemed to have very fragile filaments also. I don't think it would make
a good tube for the tube audio people.
