Dennis and group -

Sorry for the late response, I've been away. I have one of these
transmitters with the supply and cable, and you sold me a manual for it
maybe 3-4 years back, Dennis. I remember when you described the
transmitter from the pictures and a little light went on in the ol'
noggin because it sounded like the beastie I hauled away from a hamfest
a few years earlier. Pretty funny story, one of the situations where the
guy had no buyers and didn't want to take it home, so he tried to give
it to me. I insisted he take all the money I had left at the time,
though - a whopping 93 or so. He's a friend, so he appreciated the gesture.

And it still amazes me that this thing was meant to be backpacked! Very
nice piece of gear, but if packing a GRC-109 station and generator
around was annoying and trying at times, what would hauling something
like this around on your back be like?

Anyone ever use one on the air?
