Group,

Avco bought Crosley late 40's or early 50's. I have an RT-77A on a '51 Order
that says something like "Crosley, a Division of Avco" or words to that
effect - the radio is over in my storage building. By the late 50's/early 60's the
nameplates just say "Avco".

"Maxwell" is a new one on me, Meir. What's the order number and
nomenclature?

I have an early RT-77 ('46 order) but it's also a couple of miles away. I'll
check who made it next time I'm over there.

Besides Crosley and Rauland, BC-1306's were also made by Howard Radio, but I
don't recall ever seeing any AN/GRC-9 components made by them.

The German contractor was Telefunken.

GRC-9's or at least most of the components were also made in France. I think
one of the contractors was Thomson. I may be able to confirm that.
