Now that the LRR-1 was mentioned - I have an LRR-6 in good cosmetic and
working condition, in its original case, with the manual. About the size of
an AR88 but MUCH lighter...
The label says: LRR-6, Manufacturing date: 5.45, Contract No. WSA-9446,
Technical Radio Co. San Francisco.
It has a pair of 6V6's in push-pull for audio output.
It is surplus to my needs so if anyone is interested, get in touch with me
off list. It's a good BC and SWBC receiver, has BFO and 3 selectivity
positions, noise limiter , magic eye tuning indicator and tone control. You
can play your favorite 78's through it, it has phono input as well...

They also produced that LRR-1 entertainment receiver for the military.
Kinda like the Navy's RBO - but looks like MUCH more expensive to
build. I can't see that the military would have bought very many for
such an everyday common use.
