Ray there's different favorite methods but here's what I do.  I've 
thrown in a little EE for support.

   Use minimum series L (antenna loading setting 40) and no parallel C 
   (switch off).  Series a broadcast variable with the output terminal 
   & connect to dummy resistive load.  The variable C makes right Z-sub-c to 
   tune out the link's Z-sub-l.

   Now dip the final (plate) and adjust coupling knob & variable C on
   each band for right power out.

The OUTPUT IMPEDANCE on a TCS wanders all over the map with frequency.
It ain't a ham-job meant to look @ 50 ohms everywhere.  The things were 
meant to run with short antennas having lotsa Z-sub-c & hence the series 
L box when really, really big Z-sub-c compensation wanted.

Just do as above & at least most will be well w/o any other pieces.

And... same thing works with command sets & bypasses all need to "convert
final output."  Wonder why CQ et. al. didn't think this thru in the 40s.
