It's a dynamic element, not carbon, and roughly 40 to 50 ohms. It was used with

I have posted a set of pics of one of the microphone capsules in various stages
of disassembly. It is beautifully made, with a bakelite diaphragm. IMO,
absolutely stunning technology for 60 years ago. The reason the pics are posted
is that some capsules have gone open (failed) and I am working on a way to mount
a small modern speaker in the capsule to make them functional again.
