Magnetrons and Klystrons are mentioned every so often on the tubecollectors
yahoo group, but that group is not really into hardware applications such
as Radar or Rebecca/Eureka. I also like the idea of a group for general
Radar/IFF/altimiter/whatever people. As somebody posted a few days ago,
you never know when something will come up that will get you interested in
a new collecting area or even just in a new area of interesting
information.
I had a BC-929 in like new condition for 30 years without knowing what it
was, except that it looked like it had an A-scope type of display with
several range scale plastic overlays. Sold it to a collector in the
Chicago area before I left Buffalo, I think. But now I know that it was
part of a Rebecca set. I probably will not become a collector but I do
find the whole subject interesting and would follow the discussions.

Information and Reports
I think that's a good idea. I have always been a fan of being inclusive.
The WS 19 list I
co-moderate has a lot of information about other wireless sets, such as the
WS 22 and some
more modern systems, as well as the famous T.1154 / R.1155. Most list's
I've seen are
really radio communications oriented. Does anyone know if there are lists
for vintage
microwave radar? I can't remember the last time I saw magnetron or klystron
mentioned
anywhere.
