[Milsurplus] List individuality

This has brought up some thoughts from me as well which in some ways may be
redundant to whats already been said, but never the less this is my viewpoint.

While the individual lists appear, and i said appear, to be ok for specific
intended subjects i am in agreement about the lack of traffic. I see lists
on other servers that are similar in topic and some folks subscribe to 10-15
or more different lists for what reason? Well where is the traffic? Lets
presume there are 5 different servers with command sets as the primary
subject. Why? Is it because someone on this list became disgruntled because
of the content or lack thereof? SO i'll go over on Yahoo or wherever and
start another list. Same scenario happens over again. Look at the resources
that are taken up and not utilized. Why have 5 servers with command set
subjects or AM subjects and no one participating? It applies to the TMC list
as well. ALl the converstations i've had with a variety of TMC equipment
users, not one of them has gone thru the reflector. We discuss needs/wants
and this and that about the gear but do it off the list. No wonder there is
no traffic, no one knows that anybody is there and has the same interests.
Why would someone want to get on a "list" if there is nothing going on to
talk about them? Its kinda like the old 10 meter band is dead phraseology.
The band isn't dead, everyone is listening!!!!!

Milsurplus could cover the whole gamut (sp) and there wouldn't be so much
individualism. Then to there is the mentality that If i hang out on a bunch
of different lists no one will know where i am and i might find or hear about
something that no one else know about and if i don't mention it, well you
take it from there. I have no one in mind while saying this, just my
observations

Here we are again, anyone know anything about this or that. If there is
nothing going to be discussed on the lists, why have them? Is it like
belonging to a clique?.

Excuse the spelling issues.....
