Safety Notice:

By all means, make sure the power supply POSITIVE is GROUND!

Otherwise, you will have 10-20KV right next to your eye. The charge is
small but the eye is delicate and wet-wired right to the briain, so
don't take any unneccessary chances.

As to power, I used an old HV transformer from a tektronix scope. I
replaced the miniature tube type rectifiers with strings of solid
state diodes in a multiplier arrangement. Ran at about 20 KHz and was
the size of two cigarette packs. A 250-500PF 20KV doorknob cap will
work well for the filter and a 100 megohm resistor for a bleeder and
voltage divider.

radio-electronics magazine had an article on building a viewer and
power supply, with the 6032, in the 70's. and again in the 80's. Time
to go to the library.
