How about the East German military (Warsaw Pact) SEG 15D (manufactured by
RFT, 1980's ) solid state manpack/vehicular CW/USB/LSB 1.5 to 12 MHz, 1.5 W
low power/15 W high power, synthesized in 1 KHz steps (with clarifier)
transceiver. Power options: Battery holder for 20 D size Nicad batteries or
24 VDC input, 12 VDC input to 24 V inverter, 115/230VAC input to 24 VDC
power supply/charger. Backpack frame or vehicular mount. Built-in antenna
tuner.
(I have one with all the accessories, a very well-performing, easy to use
rig).
