I guess I did sorta glaze over the fact that your example was Navy to Navy, 
not Navy to AN/.

This is a perfect example of a system that slipped by the great AN/ 
renaming, as I mentioned.

There are quite a few others, but ATC to AN/ART-13 is probably one of the 
more visible.
