The BoatAnchor  FAQ had a file by Ray Mote covering this. I think the 14 was
pretty common.....used everywhere after the shift to low Z (300 ohms) . The
headbands and ear cups were recently still available from Fair Radio for
pretty cheap. Short plug hooks to a bail-out cable, still available from
Fair and most swapmeets. I could wrong but the above was OK last time I
bought headphone parts.
