Tom thanks for the ALPS tip!

I use Autocad to re-make dial scales on o'head transparency mylar &, as a 
couple suggested, back them with thicker stock.  Looking at a Airline
radio example right now.

Works fine.

Even made a complete shaft-id transparancy for the R-100.  Printed that
on sticky-back mylar.  In black it's so-so for visiblity on OD paint.
However same thing worked great for a Fisher 500 which WAS black on a 
brass panel

But the white ink will turn that OD visibility bug around.
