Hello,

Does anyone know anything about Navy infrared signalling devices of WWII
era?  My grandfather, who worked for RCA, worked on these devices.  I hav=

papers he wrote about the Snooperscope/Sniperscope, but the funny thing i=
s
that he was given a commission by the Navy.  In addition to driving aroun=
d
at night in a jeep with IR headlights, he also told me stories about
sailing around Chesapeake Bay with the Navy.  The Navy commission was so
that he would be treated as a combatant if captured.

PS, I am looking for a tech. and/or training manual for the
Snooperscope/Sniperscope M1.  =
