Gary and Group,

The Soviets made radios with front panels in several languages. Don't forget
they had many client states, including some so called neutral countries who
purchased Soviet equipment which was cheaper than the Western equipment. I
have several Soviet radios in my collection with Russian, Polish, Hungarian,
German and English nomenclature on the front panels. I also have East German
equipment with German, Russian and English labels, as well as a
Czechoslovakian manufactured receiver with a Hungarian front panel.
By the time the R-108 series radios were sold to other countries, they were
pretty much obsolete in the Soviet Army.
