There are a couple of CD's available called "Round Sounds,Vol I & II".
All big radial engines, start up, taxi, take offs.It is way way cool on my
high power sterio going down the free way in my old VW bus.Makes everything
rattle, including me and turns heads of folks wondering what's about to land.
And, yes I do question my own sanity!

Subject: [Milsurplus] GI sound effects

Has anyone done anything like record rackety things for use as
background
during ham-employment of GI radios?

Like

SCR-287, ARC-5, etc. B17 engines on take-off (gonna get that
tomorrow)

SCR-245, etc. Dozer track-on-dry-pavement clatter to sound
                           like 1935 tank or half-track

SCR-284, SCR-178, etc. Infantry hf - open mike @ firing range oughta
do it.

SCR-183/283 Open-cockpit 1935 HF. Live mic in Stearman
                           PT17 w. J600 oughta might be right.

This pursuit reminds me of fun.

Whos-dunnit? C'mon, fess up.

  Marty
