Groups,
I've accumulated or manufactured most of the parts to build up a few A-82=
phantom antennas (P/O IE-17, used to tune up a BC-611 Handie Talkie). Th=
e
complete set includes a 10" long phenolic rod with a knob on one end and =
a
shaft coupler on the other that is used to adjust the air variable
capacitor on the A-82. I'm looking for some of the knobs. They are flut=
ed
black plastic or bakelite with a brass core drilled for a 1/4" shaft, and=
do not have a skirt or any markings or pointer. Outside dia. over the ti=
p
of the flutes is 1-1/8". Below the fluted area the diameter is about
13/16. One knob in my junk box had a steel pointer which, when removed,
would yield the knob that I need. They are identical to the smaller but
not smallest knobs (On-Off, BFO, Crystal Phasing, etc.) on a 75A, 51J or
R-388 if you cut off the skirt. =
Anyway, if anyone has any that they think might work, I'd like to buy or
swap something for them. I could use maybe a dozen or so.
