If, and ONLY IF, you can read the electronic form. Old mag tapes can often not
be read. I have some software on tape which is unreadable without heroic effort,
and likely not even then.. Luckily, it's on paper tape also.

Pardon me being a sceptic, but I do not believe paper is obsolete. Not even
close. I would not trade paper records for electronic. Period. I recently lost
something like 1000 emails. Gone into the ether never to return. It'd be a lot
harder to loose 1000 letters. Truthfully,I'd never write 1000 letters in the
first place, so maybe it's not that big a loss, after all.
