I know this is a long shot, but does anyone have, or know of, a source
for fuse-style plug-in resistors? Specifically looking for R302 on the
TBW, a 5K which is the HF oscilator grid leak. This thing is about 3
inches long, 5/8 inch in diameter, and clips in like a buss fuse. We
have a "civilian" 5K 10W in its place temporarily to get the oscillator
working, and it does not interfere with the original being there, but
would like to keep the TBW working with all original parts.

Also we are still looking for an 843 tube which is used in the AM
modulator,MCW chopper circuit. The 843, unfortunately, is apparently a
"one of a kind" tube, with no substitutes that we have found. Again we
do want to keep things all original so rewiring the socket for another
type of tube is not a good option here.

Reasonable cost for these parts is no problem.

This TBW will be on the air for "Submarines on the Air", April 27 and 28
from the NJ Naval Museum/USS Ling SS297/NX2ND.

Thanks for any help.
