I do not have time to check my books, but i thought that at one
point,
while searching for the island, she sent, "We can hear you but cannot
get a null."

There is also the interesting fact that while preparing at Lae, she
went
up on a test flight to test out her  RDF adaptor, similar to US Navy,
Bendix built "RDF-1" or "DU", to try to  df Lae transmitter on 3105
or 6210, but was unable to get a null there also. Either the thing
was malfunctioning, didn't cover those freqs and she didn't
understand
that, or???
