Yes, what i am proposing is some kind of trade, my excellent condx
TBY-8 ( but no accessories ) for your early TBY, suffix -1, -2, or no
suffix ( distinguishable by pilot lamps in upper panel corners, and
painted-on-set "nameplate". ) in at least good condx. I will add a
fair
amount of cash to the deal if necessary. I want the earlier one. You
maybe may want the later model, which is the model actually used
by the codetalkers, as you can see the antenna spring (not used in
early model ) in the photos, at least in the photos from the
Windtalker
movie.

BTW, i wonder if the TBY-expert who was hired by the movie's
producer to advise them on  TBY communications, on site at
Hawaii, reads this list?

Did you know as a result of this movie, where new canvas was
produced for use in the film, that you can buy new manufacture
TBY canvas - altho it might be a little high for most, at $250.
( Per Dave Ross, per  TBY-expert, the antenna holder is too small
to actually hold the antenna spring, as the antenna was never
stowed, for movie purposes. ( Also, that in the movie, the antenna
spring was a wood mockup. )
Dave, write an article on  this fave set of yours, at least for ER !
