Hi,

A Navy LM-18 (CRR-74028), with the appropriate cal book and an attached, home-brew power supply (clever, no holes in the LM)
followed me home from a swap meet and I would like some information if convenient to you.

I have been able to get some info on the various models of the BC-221, but not the LM-18.

I understand it is covered in the April 1959 issue of CQ, but my collection skips that issue (naturally).

The LM plug appears to differ from the BC-221 plug, although the difference(s) may just be poor drawing from one of the Surplus
Conversion manuals.

The attached home-brew power supply furnishes something near 24VAC and a regulated 258VDC (0A2 and OB2 in series).

One Surplus Conversion showed a power supply with no regulation at 250VDC depending on the internal neon regulators, one said
regulated 150VDC was better because of less heat and therefore more stability.

Can someone point me in the right direction? An LM-18 schematic, or direction to one, would be much appreciated.

Only LM-18 mod I can see is a spliced wire behind the "RF Coupling" pot.

Thanks for the space - !
