Hello Group,
I guess some group members from Europe, especially from the Netherlands may
be familiar with this Dutch military surplus radio.
This is a very neat looking GRC-9 compatible military set (but not a clone)
from the 50's and 60's and it is, as I understand, fairly common in the
Netherlands.
It uses the common 6V type miniature tubes series such as 6BA6, 6AQ5, 12AT7,
etc., with an 807 final tube. Power output and frequency range is similar to
those of the GRC-9. On AM however, it's both screen and plate modulated
(with a pair of 6AQ5's in P-P), unlike the GRC-9 which is screen modulated
only.
I bought a complete set from a Dutch ham and had it shipped to the US. The
documentation is in Dutch (another challenge...) but no schematics, except
functional schematics stage-by stage..
My need is: a full set of GRC-3030 schematics, and also possibly a higher
echelon shop manual.
My question is: are there any particular problems and general caveats I
should be aware of, using and maintaining this rig?
Any input is welcome and appreciated.
Thanks,
