[Milsurplus] BC-348 Crystal Filter

Hi all

In regards to the crystal filter cleaning, there was an article in the
June 1966 issue of  73 magazine concerning modifying the crystal filter in
a BC-348. 

Part of the article was a good explanation on how to take apart and
clean the crystal filter assembly(this was in a J N or Q model) and test
the unit when through. I did the procedure and it woke up the crystal
filter in mine.   It seems that the culprit is the wax outer coating seeping
in and covering the crystal.  

No I did *not* do the modification described in the article.
