There's the civilian model. Espey 581. Sams 14-10 & I'll put it on
web if interest.

And I've a green mil-job by Espey. How do I know? 50A5 loctal output,
35Y4 loctal rectifier, no 220V option.

Mil yob on contract

   27149 Phila 44-03

But more usual deals w. 25L6/25Z6 were on same contract too.

Now these 25L6/25Z6 sets generate an extra 33W heat on 110V and were
possibly made by Majestic & Hallicrafters

And my internal 'bottom plate schematic" shows the 25L6/25Z6 combo.
Go finger.

Have heard from a hamfest OT there was a mountain of new R100s on Guam
for sale @ PX ~'47 for a buck ea.

They appear in lots of period fotos of, say, a GI @ ease listening to
Andrew Sisters & lighting a Camel.

Only doc on set seems to be in TM 11-2586 on a '47 PA. & it references
TM-11-310 "How to fix rx-s"

Why no specific book? Think they were throw- aways.

So if the community wants, I'll keep some records on who has what.
Like the ones with the elusive dial that shows such cities as

     Tokyo
     Paris
     Marakesh
     Campho-Phenique
     Chicagoe
     etc.

My "loctal output" R100 is sn 17157. That's stamped on iron chassis rear.

Note on the 'black R100.' Have had one & it was the 'loctal type.'
Don't know if it had 220V option but black ESPEY 581 looks just
alike except for logo under speaker grille.

Some think were 'black R100s' were embassy radios but others believe in
sleeping on magnets.,
