I won 6 of those beasts at auction as a kid from Wright-Pat's Gentille AFB 
materiel section.  Made a modulator from 1, traded two to Xavier 
Universtiy for a semester book inventory & some radar filament xfrmr.s.  
Other 3 assimilated into the Cincinnati ham community.

Were very neat.

Lotsa Beachmaster systems in D-day footage & they mighta been mounted on LSTs!

I've never seen a trumpet - & I think they clustered in groups of 6 &
that from the movies.

Gotta go see that current install mentioned here recently!

Oh & hey I think the rect.s were H-V 836s rather than M-V 866s.  Did you
read 'think?'
