From the archives of the Collins reflector, this is the original S-Line
amplifier, 30S1. It covers 80-10 Meters and uses a 4CX1000.  It can be
modified for 1000W out by changing the final to a 4CX1500 and probably
other changes.  A Google search on 30S1 will get more info.

Friend of mine has a Collins  amp he'd like some more info on as ll he
has now is the data plate which says:
Amplifier, RF, AM-4783, GRC-159(V), FSN 5820-034-4236 and then the PN
and serial nr.  ANybody know what freq range this covered or ever heard
of it?  Don't know the size or any other details.
