The RT-68 and RT-70 equipments were usually used together in vehicular
systems (GRC-8, VRC-18, etc.) but the Signal Corps also provided for portable
use of these sets operating alone. Materials were provided for this purpose
including battery boxes, power cables antenna sections (AB-22, 23 & 24) and
an antenna base that plugged into a socket cast into the front panel of the
sets.

Has anyone ever seen these mounts? The nomenclature may have been something
like MT-652/GR. From the one illustration I have it would appear to be about
3" long and maybe 3/4" in diameter. The antenna sections screwed into the
top end, the bottom would have had a protruding peg, machined to "push and
turn to lock" in the socket cast into the front panels of both sets. There
was a short pigtail with a BNC connector to connect to the antenna jack on
the sets. For the RT-68 this would have been part of Modification Kit
MX-898/GR. Don't have a kit No. for the RT-70 but would have been part of
the PRC-16 configuration.

Anyone know where I could get some of these mounts???
