I agree with Dennis. Even if the proper sockets/connectors aren't
around, they may pop up some day, so don't do something you'll regret
later. I have a TCS pair with the proper cables (cables cost almost
as much as the rig) and a homebrew supply. But I never found a socket
for the power supply end of the TX cable. So, I put an octal socket
on the homebrew supply, with an octal plug with wires that terminate
in wires/pins/banana plugs that fit into the female end of the TX
power cable plug. Exposed conductors are covered in shrink tubing.
Power cable plug and connections are held together in a plastic mini-
box to make sure they stay together and for added saftey. Original?
no. Good looking ?, no. But, its out of sight and allows me to use
my TCS. AND, when that happy day comes when I find the right connector,
the octal socket and plug go back into the junk box, and the right
socket goes into the hole in my supply. Also note. If you use power
switches mounted on your supply and not the power switches on the
TCS, the temp connectors you make up don't even need to use all the
 leads on the plug.

By the way, I should be running this TCS on CX this Sunday.
