I have an additional listing for CUR, from a Navy tech manual list of
manufacturers:  Reeves-Hoffman Corp., New York, NY.  Could this be the
earliest name, or the latest - I don't know which of many manuals to check
...

This afternoon, I discovered that I have a copy dated 1980 of NAVELEX
0967-LP-190-4010, Manufacturer Designating Symbols (listing of the Navy
contractor codes).  There are several entries for CUR.

New York, NY.
Dynamics Corp. of America (formerly Reeves Ely Laboratories, Inc.), New
York, NY
Dynamics Corp. of America Electronics Systems Division, Boynton Beach, FL
