On the cover of my 1944 Radio Craft magazine is a big color picture, maybe
partially artist rendering of what was identified as "2 mile surrender
speaker". As one of the pictures has a credit of "David Bogen Co. and
University Laboratories" would you say it was produced by them (the Bogen Co.).
Article is titled "Surrender Speaker". Output was 350 Watts. Pictures also
show what it would look like from a page in a TM or other manual. Also a couple
pictures of the Speakers mounted on top of different type trucks.
"Each amplifier, when used on a 115Volt supply, has a rated output of 175
Watts. The peak output may reach 350 Watts. Rating is for voice frequencies
between 800 and 5000 cycles".
There is no military id mentioned in the article. Is this the same system as
the PAB-1 or other designations that have been mentioned?
