Holy cats you're right on the ARC-4.  Before I put foot in mouth, I
looked @ ARC-4 front panel & found no "channel switch."  Yet there's sure 
space for 4 relay-selected unique dual-xtal units inside.  & book shows 
C51 remote w. 4 channels.

& I did ARC-1 faux-pas from faulty memory... in fact same 'resource'
invoked for ARC-3

Thot 'bout VHF ARC-5 OK, but that's Navy & AAF version (274N) is so scarce it
cud make Robt. Downs nutso.

 ARC 4 also has 2 RX-channel mixers so to have 'guard channel' for non-stop 
 monitoring.  Ultra advanced when it came out in '38 as the WE232 for use 
 in "Douglas Racer (DC2/3)"
 
 Don't think anything ever had that feature again.
 
 ARC-4 one of favorite things
