Group,

I bought an RS-38-A recently knowing that it had the cord cut off and
thinking that I had a cord and could turn it back into a good one (this was
the or at least one of the standard Navy microphones, their equivalent to the
T-17). However, the common RS-38-A is Navy Type 51004-A or -C and has a cord
terminated in a PL-68. This one is a CTE-51042 which has a different type
PTT switch inside and is the variant used with the MAB. So if anyone has an
MAB top cover with good cord but no microphone or can otherwise use it,
please contact me.
