Where did the Yanks use the "coastwatcher radio" ? I would have thought the
US had enuff of that kind of gear.

This is a copy of the USA Forest Service ( and also briefly acquired by
the US Army ) type SPF. I don't think any US forces used this in the Pacific
area.
