Germany had a searchlight aiming radar too. It's output was fed to a light
with a blue filter & the other lights followed
We just made more SCR268s. Typical
Laundry machine, huh?
Learn something new all the time - just found freight-train crewmen
called engines "barrels" right outa steam days thru early diesel
times. Learn something new all the time
Hey the SCR268 is the reason for all the VT127s in surplus days. 8 then,
later, 12 were used in it's 205mcs ring-oscillator. Also
big reason for all 304TLs in surplus. '268 used 8 (?) in it's AM (not pulse)
Heising-derivative (CT choke) modulator.
Navy's SA-4 (???) used a ring oscillator with, wudn't u know, a VT127
variant called the VT327. Very rare those VT327s
And on the oddfish RFA in a SCR-270. Last refit was changing the oddish
thing out for a RFA with 2 6J4 7-pin planar Gm 12000 triodes.
Don't think 6J4s yet discovered by audio goofies
Wm. D... good tale on '270 & "MiG painting"
