Well- the manual also lists "expected distance range with percentage of
antenna remaining",
or something worded close to that. I imagine "percentage of [whip] antenna
remaining"
is related to "percentage of antenna shot away". My thinking, maybe wishful
thinking, is
that tugs, auxes, etc. carried more commercial-type harbor radios. The MO/
MAK also
has A2 telegraph mode. In other words, i am thinking this is more of a
combat radio.
