The "N" Signifies a set that originated with the Navy, 
namely the ATA/ARA.  The sets are nearly identical in design
and the Army Air Corps was ordered to copy the set and 
add the "N."  I think Hap Arnold did it to punish the 
Air Corps procurement boys for being pig-headed about 
accepting the set, wasting months on a Bendix klung.
