Good luck on finding an R-389. They are very scarce. I think only 
about 1000 were made, and all I have seen and handled (4) were 
on an ARMY contract. I can't figure out why the ARMY would need 
VLF receivers, since the Navy was the prime user of VLF.

And you are wise to send them to Rick Mish for refurbishing. He is 
completely honest and his work is outstanding.
