[Milsurplus] Unusual new handset & new SINCGARS radio question

Green Radio folks -

Check out this handset on the 'bay place, item #1372443565 (no, it's
not mine - if it was you can bet I wouldn't bundle the handset with the
radio...)

The radio is a garden variety PRC-66 but the handset is a different
critter entirely, with an LCD display and a couple of control buttons
for the radio. Looks to have a "Y" cord with two connectors - a New
Family audio connector plus another six pin male connector.

I saw one of these handsets hooked up to a whizzy new-version SINCGARS
handheld radio at Ft. Stevens, Oregon this past Saturday. Does anyone
know anything about the new handset or the new radio?

The radio looks to be about 2.5" tall, approx. 4.5" wide, maybe 11"
deep, and about 2/3 of the depth appears to be battery pack. Also saw
in a HMMWV three of the above radios in some sort of vehicular rack
where the vehicle's right rear seat should be.

This HMMWV also carried a thermal imager & laser rangefinder on the
roof, plus a UNIX-based Pentium II computer (between the driver & front
passenger) for the front passenger to play with, plus an EPLRS (position
locating & reporting) setup, the usual GPS & compass setups.
