I picked up a VHF AM airband MAW-1 over the weekend and would like to =
power it up. Power requirements appear to be about 4 volts DC. It uses =
one vibrator in the power supply and the transformer is rated at 4v =
input to the primary. The battery box looks like it holds two cells of =
some type. I assume them to be lead acid maybe. If that is true 4 volts =
sounds about right. Anybody know where I could find a manual on this =
unit?
Billy,
The MAW and MAW-1 vibrator supply runs off of two each 2.1 volt lead acid
cells.
I have the manual on the MAW-1 (and also have an MAW-1) NAVSHIPS 91529(A). I
can probably scan the whole thing and do a reprint for you but right now I'm
pretty far behind on scanning, plus working 8-10 hours a day. So it would
probably be on in September before I could get to it. I's have to check the
page count before quoting you a price.
