Group,

One other strange (to me) item on the patio table is a junction box with
Command Set type connectors stenciled on one side "WESTERN ELECTRIC 5A
JUNCTION BOX". Black wrinkle, 4" x 2-3/4" x 2-1/4" high. Looks like it
would fit the FT-228-A for the BC-451-A transmitter control box. On top =
is
a fuse block with two active fuses (233 20A or 40A and AUX 10A or 20A) an=
d
four spares. On the front, marked "233 RTE" is a connector for a PL-153,=

and a 3-pin male smaller than the one found on the BC-456-A modulator. O=
n
the left, marked "CONT. UNIT" another plug for a PL-153. On the right,
marked "BATT." and on the rear marked "AUX." are two more of the little
3-pin males, covered with blanking caps. The WE CO. 233A is the AN/ARC-4=
. =

I just went through the AN/ARC-5 maintenance manual, which shows two
installations that include the AN/ARC-4, but didn't see the box. Any
guesses? Anyone need it? There are two salvagable PL-153 cutoff's plugg=
ed
into it. Unfortunately, the 3-pin female is missing.
