I can't relate specific aircraft models to a specific set, but the RCA
AN/ARC-65 and the Collins AN/ARC-58 provided HF SSB communications
thoughout most of the B-52's history through to the 1970s. I think the
AN/ARC-58 was found in the later models. That's what was in the B-52
aircraft at Blytheville AFB in 1968.
As for the HF sets used in the last 25 years, I haven't any idea.
Surely the AN/ARC-58 sets must have been replaced for several decades by
now.
As for the HF sets used in the first years of the B-52, I'd guess maybe
the RCA AN/ARC-21, which was the AM predecessor to the AN/ARC-65.
