Foyd,

Wish that I known that you wanted an MT-1029. I have two or three NOSB
ones that I'd like to sell. But they are pretty common. Don't have any
more RT-524's (or the related RT-246). However, I have boxes of manuals =
on
the AN/VRC-12 family from 1961 up into the mid 80's. The three connector=
s
on the MT-1029 are, left to right looking from the front, J-21, 22 and 23=
. =

J-21 is the DC power input connector and takes CX-4720/U. J-22 takes cab=
le
CX-4723/U which in most installations goes to Amplifier, Audio Frequency
AM-1780/VRC. J-23 also takes cable CX-4721/U and supplies 24 VDC to a
second RT-246/VRC, RT-524/VRC or Receiver R-422 in some installations. =

However, all of the CX-4721/U's that I have or have ever seen had the
standard VRC family 4-pin connector on one end and terminals or the Bendi=
x
connector on the other. So there must be a third group of FSN's for
CX-4721/U with the 4-pin connector on both ends.

In additon to these cables, from the front of the RT-546/VRC there is a
CX-4722/U that goes to Antenna Matching Unit MX-6707, plus the coax for t=
he
RF, which is officially CG-1773/U.

All of these cables came in multiple lengths. I have some but not all of=

them.

I have AN/VRC-64 (and AN/GRC-160) in my database but no paper or other in=
fo
on them, so I don't know anything about them. But the answer to your las=
t
question might be determined by which armored vehicle you have and what
year you are "doing" it for.

>I have ordered a MT-1029 mount. I have not received it yet, but I
understand
that there is three plugs on it. One for the power cable, one for
connecting
to an intercom system which uses cable CX-4723 and one for I don't know
what. Someone please tell me if I am correct on the two I know and what t=
he
third one is for? Can anyone give me the power cable number and what the
third plug is for and the cable number? Thanks in advance on this.

Last question is an opinion question. Do I want to put a AN/VRC-64 system=

or
a RT-524 in my armored vehicle? And why the choice you chose? Thanks agai=
n.
