0129z 03 Mar 25

No 01 Mar 25 new UTC day communications test count heard.

2055z+/- 01 Mar 25 VALID 01 (E6B AE0411) launched from TRAVIS.

11175.0 was active at 2112z 01 Mar 25 with GOOD NEWS (VALID 01)
working NEW MATH (NCS HFGCS) and entering the net.

11175.0 was active at 2211z 01 Mar 25 with GOOD NEWS calling WHEATIES
with no known response. He went into his script and passed GPL LLJ LNQ Time
2212; Authentication WK; repeat; and GOOD NEW out. Apparently in the blind.

11175.0 was active 2232z 01 Mar 25 with NEW MATH broadcasting the 30
character EAM TREQHG.

22.7 KHz VLF FSK (Pacific) active at 2240z 01 Mar 25 with TREQHG.

11175.0 was active at 2250z 01 Mar 25 with GOOD NEWS
broadcasting TREQHG at the TACAMO PAC H+20/H+50 restoral rebroadcast
window. Repeated at 2320z, 2350z and 0020z (02 Mar 25 as ADVISABLE).

02 Mar 25 UTC.

11175.0 was active at 0008z with UPPERCUT broadcasting their daily
post 0000z new UTC day communication test count.

1527z KILTS 11 (E6B AE0411; same E6B as GOOD NEWS) launched ex TRAVIS and
headed westbound to TINKER.

11175.0 was active at 1730z with DECISION (KILTS 11) calling UPPERCUT
with no known response.

11175.0 was active at 1736z with DECISION calling PASTRAMI with no
known response, and immediately into his script: Message of 3 groups; RCU
NNJ LNQ; Time 1738z; Authentication FS; I say again; RCU NNJ LNQ; This is
DECISION, out. Apparently in the blind.

Both 01 and 02 March were very active with NCS "FOR" EAM strings. A daily
continuation from 25 Feb 25.

Rhetorical questions: Who were WHEATIES and PASTRAMI? This command post
involvement with HF 274 message traffic has a neo-60s/70s feel to it. They
already check in and check out of the net (for decades). What is this extra
layer of apparent operational status 274 three-group message traffic on a
routine basis? In the 90s there'd be the occasional (rare) longish 369
traffic to Strat Comm WING ONE (often by phonepatch) from the E6As, but
nothing logged short and daily.
