11175.0 was active at 0011z with CANDYMAN conducting their daily
system wide new UTC day communications test count.
1540z: FEASIBLE (E6B; TETCH 52 ex TINKER 1538z+/-) called and raised
GOLF CLUB (NCS HFGCS) and entered the net.
1545z: FEASIBLE called CANDYMAN.
1555z: CANDYMAN (good levels; processed-sounding audio) calls and
raised FEASIBLE. Both exchanged signal reports and gone.
FEASIBLE proceeded to the Gulf for h+00/h+30 restoral window repeat
broadcasts of FBNBPR at 1804z; 1830z; and 1900z (south of Longview, TX).
The immediate attempts to raise the command post end in mutual signal
reports and quiet. Connectivity links.
Are there examples (logs) of similar activity from the command post prior
to this fiscal year? Or, is this new to FY 2025?
FY 2025 (01 Oct 24) is very interesting as the year unfolds:
Every EAM series prefix changed 01 Oct 25. That's unusual.
A remarkable new series of EAMs appeared 02 Oct 2025. The series appears to
be morphed between the highly structured very long EAM strings; and, the
series of shorter (30 characters and above) that contain the FOR series of
strings. The series has as few as 22 characters and a maximum of around 80
characters+/-. The series is, for lack of a better word, beautifully
structured in a manner that is repeatable within each character count
segment; and, often shares that structure with other character count
strings. Like the longer series, it contains single character quad groups
in certain character count strings, not found in the FOR series strings.
Unlike every other series (at least from 01 Oct 24 through today (a
relatively short period of time)) the series has not been logged from
airborne assets; and, not "restored" from the NCS HFGCS (with one possible
exception.) They are common (a 22 character string was just sent as this
was typed - 5GFAYX).
In a manner similar to a SKYMASTER event, RED RIVER received "NEREP"
message traffic in the form of AKAC 274 messages from bombers on HF.
The apparent USSTRATCOM CP is increasingly active of HF with brief
connectivity comms with certain E6Bs. So far all calls and contacts have
been from E6Bs that appear to performing the ABNCP mission.TACAMO PAC and
LANT aircraft have yet to be logged with similar activity (it's still early
in the FY). And the CP rebroadcast the 30 character EAM C6DR36 on the HFGCS
on 02 Oct 24. Has this activity from the CP been logged in the recent past
(recent being in the past 10 years or more?) Is this activity new to this
FY?
Many of the E6B missions (TACAMO PAC in particular) appear to be conducting
their activity in Due Regard (dark on ADSB mapping sites.)
And possibly other activities.
