11175.0 was active at 0011z with QUIETMAN broadcasting their
daily post 0000z new UTC day communications test count.
1714z DELF 21 (E6B) launched ex TINKER.
1740z BEAR HAND (sounds like) becomes active on 11175.0 and apparently
moves elsewhere to enter the net.
1808z BEAR HAND called QUIETMAN.
1811z QUIETMAN (fair; distinctive audio) responds to BEAR HAND and
they exchange signal checks. Connectivity activity.
1811z QUIETMAN requests that BEAR HAND spell out 'call sign." "B E A
R A N T."
They go quiet.
1814z BEAR ANT (good level) calls and raised WHEATIES (very weak). As
soon as contact is established, BEAR ANT states the following:
"WHEATIES; WHEATIES; This is BEAR ANT; Break; Exercise 3 groups follow:
IKX YMA ABK; Time 1814 Authentication NN. I say again; IKX YMA ABK. This is
BEAR ANT, out."
1826z BEAR ANT calls WHEATIES (weak) for a radio check.
1831z BEAR ANT apparently makes a call on 11175.0 LSB.
1836z BEAR ANT calls and raises WHEATIES for a signal (connectivity)
check. Loud and clear to each other.
1852z BEAR ANT works MAIL BAG (NCS HFGCS) to exit the net (he's at
OFFUTT)
ABK (the 3rd group) is common to local Sunday and local Monday's message
traffic.
DELF 21/BEAR ANT's flight was from TINKER to OFFUTT. All above while in
transit.
Is WHEATIES the same as the earlier SPACE GUN and STANDOFF? Is it another
command post under a daily callword?
This FY25, RED RIVER has received AKAC 274 3-element NEREP message traffic
from bombers. USSTRATCOM CP (QUIETMAN today) has received 3-element
authenticated message traffic (3 groups) From E6Bs. Someone as WHEATIES
has received 3-element authenticated message traffic (3 groups) from E6Bs.
