0219z 17 Oct 24

11175.0 was active at 1940z with SAGE FIRE (HFGCS) broadcasting the 30
character EAM C6HUPD.

11175.0 was active with OUTSMART (ILIAC 92; E6B ex PAX RIVER; TACAMO
LANT; over the Atlantic ocean) broadcasting C6HUPD at 2010z. H+10/h+40
repeat broadcast window. He did same at 2040z and 2110z (while over land
after returning to the Atlantic coast). At 2117z OUTSMART attempted to
raise SAGE FIRE with no known response.

11175.0 was active at 2143z with DRAG RACE (excellent levels on east
coast and central US SDRs) calling and raising SAGE FIRE to enter the net.
Noteworthy because there were only 2 E6Bs visible on ADSB sites at that
time: ILIAC 92/OUTSMART (TACAMO LANT) and RING 94/PASTRAMI (TACAMO PAC).

ILIAC 92/OUTSMART flew southeast across the southeastern U.S.,
eventually crossing the coast into the western Gulf of Mexico.

11175.0 was active 2239z with SAGE FIRE broadcasting the 30 character
EAM C6QHN6.

PASTRAMI was reported active at 2320z with PASTRAMI (TACAMO PAC)
broadcasting C6QHN6, but was unheard by me on 11175.0 or 8992.0. However
after the beginning of the new UTC day AUTO TIRE (TACAMO PAC; old day
PASTRAMI; strong levels on California sdr) was active at 0020z with C6QHN6.
By that time RING 94 had reached the California coast south of San
Francisco. At this time RING 94 is apparently on approach to Lubbock, Texas.

11175.0 was active at 2347z with SAGE FIRE broadcasting the
30-character EAM C67ADO.

11175,0 UTC 17 Oct 24 0000z with DEEP WELL (ILIAC 92; new day
OUTSMART; now apparent ABNCP mission) with C67ADO. He was heard with his
restoral repeats at 0030z, 0100z, and 0130z. ILIAC 92/DEEP WELL at this
time is apparently on a return flight to PAX RIVER. A two session flight
(over the Atlantic and then over the Gulf) on a long mission is maybe
unusual.

The 11175.0 activity involving RAYMOND 12 (MINOT), RED RIVER, and self
described players "M BLACK" (sounds like) 0# air to air comms between
aircraft and with ground remained active through the turn of the new day at
0027z. By this time they were very loud and clear.

    And, who was DRAG RACE?

Jeff
